ELON’S DEADLY TRAP EXPOSED? JOEY MAY BE WALKING STRAIGHT INTO A POLICE AMBUSH.

What if Joey Armstrong was never invited to meet The Impaler?

What if the entire meeting has been carefully orchestrated by Police Chief Elon Hawthorne from the very beginning?

Upcoming spoilers confirm that Joey and Randy Parker are preparing for a tense face-to-face encounter with the mysterious criminal known as The Impaler. On the surface, it looks like a dangerous negotiation between two men connected to the growing plasma ring investigation. But a closer look at recent events suggests something far more alarming may be happening behind the scenes. The meeting itself may be a trap, and Elon Hawthorne could be the one pulling the strings.

The first clue comes from Randy’s phone call to Joey. In the May 29 recap, Randy informs Joey that The Impaler wants a direct meeting. That revelation immediately raises questions. The Impaler has built an entire operation around secrecy. He avoids exposure, operates through intermediaries, and rarely allows anyone close enough to identify him. For someone so careful, suddenly requesting a personal meeting feels completely out of character. The timing is suspicious, and it opens the door to the possibility that more people know about this meeting than Joey realizes.

At the same time, no character has more motivation to take drastic action than Elon Hawthorne. The investigation into the plasma ring has stalled. Critical answers remain out of reach. Worse still, Derek’s death continues to cast a shadow over everyone involved. Elon has watched the case spiral out of control while the people responsible remain hidden. As both police chief and father, he is under enormous pressure. He needs results, he needs arrests, and he needs a way to stop the violence before Jacob becomes consumed by revenge.

That pressure creates a dangerous possibility. What if Elon has stopped waiting for The Impaler to make a mistake? What if he has decided to force one?

Among all the people connected to this storyline, Joey may be the perfect bait. He has connections that law enforcement does not. He has access to people operating inside the criminal network. Most importantly, he is someone The Impaler appears willing to contact directly. That makes Joey uniquely valuable. If Elon wanted to lure a hidden mastermind into the open, Joey would be the ideal person to place at the center of the operation.

This leads to the most chilling scenario of all. Imagine Joey and Randy arriving at an abandoned warehouse. The atmosphere is tense. Every shadow could hide a threat. Eventually, The Impaler steps forward. A conversation begins. Secrets are exchanged. Questions are answered. Yet while all of that unfolds inside the building, another operation is taking place outside.

Police vehicles remain hidden in the darkness.

Officers quietly move into position.

Escape routes are blocked.

Weapons are ready.

And standing at the center of it all is Elon Hawthorne, waiting for the exact moment to close the trap.

If this theory proves true, the meeting was never about negotiation. It was never about information. It was a carefully designed sting operation from the very beginning.

However, there is one major problem with this plan. Traps do not always work the way they are intended.

The Impaler has survived this long because he is intelligent, cautious, and ruthless. If he realizes he has been set up, the situation could explode instantly. A cornered criminal is often at his most dangerous. Gunfire could erupt. Hostages could be taken. Chaos could consume the entire operation within seconds. In that scenario, the person facing the greatest danger may not be The Impaler at all.

It may be Joey.

Without knowing it, Joey could be walking directly into a battlefield. If Elon is truly using him as bait, Joey may become the most expendable piece on the board.

There is another factor that could turn this operation into a complete disaster: Jacob Hawthorne. Derek’s death continues to haunt him, and his desire for justice has only intensified. If Jacob discovers the location of the meeting, there is no guarantee he will follow orders. He could decide to intervene. He could confront The Impaler himself. He could act before Elon is ready.

One impulsive decision could destroy months of planning.

Instead of capturing a criminal mastermind, Elon could find himself watching the entire operation collapse in front of him.

That possibility leads to the biggest question of all. Is Elon trying to protect the city, or is he willing to sacrifice Joey to achieve his goal?

If the theory is correct, Elon may have withheld critical information, manipulated the circumstances surrounding the meeting, and knowingly placed Joey in extreme danger. From a law enforcement perspective, it might be a calculated risk. From Joey’s perspective, it could be a betrayal.

Spoilers have already confirmed that the meeting is coming. What remains hidden is who truly controls the game.

The Impaler may believe he is hunting Joey.

Joey may believe he is confronting The Impaler.

But when the warehouse doors finally close, there is a growing possibility that Elon Hawthorne is the one who has been directing every move from the shadows.

And if that is true, this meeting may not end with answers.

It may end with a deadly ambush that changes everything.
