Nina Reeves may believe one desperate shove will finally silence Drew Cain, but her attempt to bury the truth could expose an even more explosive secret. If Drew ends up unconscious at the bottom of the pool and Jason Morgan becomes the man who saves him, the rescue may trigger an emergency DNA test that forces everyone in Port Charles to question who Scout’s biological father really is.
The confrontation could begin with Drew cornering Nina near the pool. Drew may already know enough to destroy her relationship with Willow and expose every lie she has told to protect herself. Nina insists that she never intended for anyone to get hurt, but Drew refuses to back down. When he threatens to reveal everything, panic takes over. Nina shoves him away, Drew strikes his head against the edge of the pool and disappears beneath the water.
For several terrifying seconds, Nina does nothing. She watches Drew sink while realizing that his death could solve all her problems. If Drew cannot speak, he cannot expose her. But before Nina can decide whether to call for help, Jason arrives and sees his twin brother motionless beneath the surface.
Jason does not hesitate. He dives into the pool, pulls Drew out and desperately tries to restart his breathing. Drew has suffered a serious head injury, swallowed water and lost blood. Jason cuts his own hand during the rescue, leaving both brothers’ blood on Drew’s clothing and around the pool. Nina may escape before Jason sees her, believing the water has erased every trace of what she did.
At General Hospital, doctors warn Jason that Drew may not survive without immediate treatment. Drew needs emergency surgery, but complications in his medical history make the procedure dangerous. Because Jason and Drew are identical twins, the doctors request new blood samples to determine which medical records truly belong to each brother. Scout’s records are also pulled because she is Drew’s daughter and may provide the closest available family comparison.
That is when the hospital system produces a result no one expected.

The most likely explanation remains that Drew is Scout’s father and that Jason appears in the result only because the brothers are identical twins. But the damaged records create a terrifying possibility: What if the hospital never tested Drew’s actual sample? What if a stored sample belonging to Jason was used because both men were listed under the same identity? Someone involved in the memory-mapping project may have deliberately created a paternity result that could never be challenged.
Scout arrives at the hospital terrified that she is about to lose her father. She turns to Jason because he is the man who pulled Drew from the water. Jason promises that he will not abandon her, but the emotional moment becomes far more complicated when he sees his own name printed beside the words “paternal relationship cannot be excluded.”
Before Jason can demand answers, the complete DNA report disappears from the hospital system.
Only one page remains, showing Scout’s name, Jason’s genetic profile and an old patient identification number linked to the years when Drew was believed to be Jason. Someone still has access to the files, and that person clearly does not want Jason learning the truth.
Nina soon realizes that pushing Drew into the pool has created a disaster far greater than an attempted murder investigation.
