Until now, Hudson has been positioned as a mysterious man searching for Ethan. That explanation sounds simple enough, but it becomes much harder to accept once Ava enters the picture. If Ethan is really Hudson’s only concern, why should Ava immediately matter? Hudson may not simply be hunting Ethan. He could be searching for the person Ethan has been desperately trying to keep hidden from him.
