CUSTODY BOMBSHELL! AVA USES DREW TO TAKE AVERY FROM SONNY — HER SECRET PLAN COULD COST HIM HIS DAUGHTER!

Ava Jerome and Drew Cain may have just formed one of the most dangerous alliances Sonny Corinthos has faced in years, but revenge may only be the beginning. Their August 7 conversation appeared to establish a partnership against Sonny, yet one detail could completely change what Ava is really planning. Avery was placed directly at the center of the discussion, raising a chilling possibility: Ava may not want to destroy Sonny’s business at all. She may want to take his daughter away from him.

Ava made her deepest fear perfectly clear when she talked about the possibility of Avery being taken from her. Drew immediately understood that fear because of everything he has endured with Scout. That emotional connection may prove far more important than it initially appeared. Drew knows what it feels like to believe someone is standing between a parent and a child, and Ava may have realized she had found exactly the person she needed.

What if Ava’s alliance with Drew is secretly about building a custody case?

Drew has resources, connections, influence, and perhaps most importantly, an intense reason to go after Sonny. Ava would not necessarily have to tell Drew her entire plan. She could simply encourage him to uncover anything damaging about Sonny while allowing Drew to believe they are working toward the same goal. Every secret he uncovers could then become another piece of ammunition for Ava.

That is where this storyline could take a brutal turn. Sonny has spent years surrounded by violence, enemies, criminal connections, and dangerous situations. Even if he believes those days are behind him, Ava may only need evidence suggesting that Avery could still be exposed to that world. A suspicious transaction, a threatening phone call, a dangerous associate, or proof that Sonny remains connected to criminal activity could suddenly become much more important than either man realizes.

And Ava might not take that evidence to the PCPD.

She could take it straight to her attorney.

Imagine Sonny preparing himself for Drew to attack his business interests, only to receive completely different paperwork: an emergency custody petition involving Avery. Instead of fighting over territory or money, Sonny could suddenly be forced to defend himself before a judge while Ava argues that Avery’s safety requires her to remain primarily with her mother.

That would make Drew’s role in the scheme even more explosive. He could spend weeks gathering information against Sonny without realizing what Ava intends to do with it. In Drew’s mind, he may simply be exposing an enemy. In Ava’s hands, however, that same information could become the foundation of a case designed to separate Sonny from Avery.

Drew never needed to destroy Sonny’s empire. He only needed to help Ava convince a judge that Avery should not be living inside it.

But Ava could be playing a dangerous game with Drew as well. His feelings about Scout may be exactly why he sympathizes with her, yet those same feelings could eventually make him turn against Ava. Drew understands the devastation of being separated from a child. If he discovers that Ava used his pain to help another parent potentially lose access to his daughter, their alliance could implode almost immediately.

Sonny would also be unlikely to surrender without a fight. A custody battle would force him into unfamiliar territory because intimidation and mob power cannot solve everything inside family court. He would need to prove that Avery is safe with him while simultaneously challenging Ava’s claim that she represents the more stable parent.

And that could unleash an ugly war over both of their histories.

Sonny could start digging into every controversial decision Ava has made, while Ava could counter with every dangerous situation connected to Sonny. Suddenly, years of Port Charles history could become evidence, with both parents trying to convince a judge that the other represents the greater threat.

The most heartbreaking part is that Avery would be trapped directly in the middle.

That may explain why the August 7 conversation matters so much. Ava and Drew joining forces against Sonny is already significant, but connecting their alliance specifically through Avery and Scout gives their partnership an emotional motive beyond simple revenge. The writers may be laying the groundwork for something much more personal.

If Ava truly makes her move, Sonny could discover too late that he misunderstood the threat completely.

Drew was never coming for his money.

Ava was coming for Avery.

And Sonny’s next major war may not explode on the streets of Port Charles. It could begin when a judge opens a custody file containing every secret Drew helped Ava uncover — and decides whether Sonny Corinthos should still have the right to keep his daughter by his side.
