As questions continue swirling around Phoebe’s biological father, Ethan’s decision to conceal the truth could do more than threaten one adoption. It could reopen a decades-old baby scandal that began before Laura ever became a Webber, a Spencer, or one of the most important women in Port Charles.
Laura’s own life began with a lie about a baby. Lesley Webber became pregnant by her married college professor, Gordon Grey, but Lesley’s father was desperate to avoid the scandal. Former General Hospital nurse Doris Roach was paid to switch Lesley’s healthy newborn daughter with the stillborn baby of Jason and Barbara Vining.
