He knows Billy.
He understands Sally.
And he has enough history with both of them to recognize when something doesn’t add up.
If Adam discovers that Billy and Audra have been keeping a secret, he could potentially become the person holding the information that Sally desperately needs.
And that would create another dangerous question: would Adam expose the truth, or use it against Billy?
THE MOST BELIEVABLE PROGRESSION IS SIMPLE — AND DEVASTATING
The strongest version of this theory does not require an instant affair.
It could unfold slowly:
Secret alliance. Private conversations. Mutual favors. Emotional closeness. One impulsive moment. Then the betrayal.
That progression would make every earlier scene suddenly feel more significant.
A conversation between Billy and Audra could look completely innocent today and become suspicious after the reveal. A favor could later appear to have had a hidden motive. A private meeting could become the missing piece of a much larger puzzle.
That is exactly how Y&R could turn an apparently harmless relationship into a major emotional bombshell.
SALLY MAY EVENTUALLY REALIZE SHE WAS LOOKING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION
The cruelest twist would be Sally discovering that the danger was never another obvious rival.
