General Hospital spoilers for August 18 tease that Josslyn will say more than she should just as Hudson Parker makes it clear that he came to Port Charles with a job to do. That combination feels far too deliberate to ignore. If Joss accidentally gives Hudson the final clue he needs about Phoebe, Ethan’s carefully constructed lie could come crashing down in seconds.
Remember what Ethan told Hudson when he came looking for information about Delilah Wilson and her baby. Ethan wanted Hudson to believe there was nothing left to find. Delilah was dead, and according to Ethan’s story, her baby was dead too. It was the perfect answer if Ethan’s goal was to shut down Hudson’s investigation permanently. But there was one major problem: Hudson discovered that Ethan was lying.
Ethan’s private conversation with Ava changed everything. His insistence that the truth about the baby remain hidden gave Hudson reason to believe Delilah’s child survived. That means Hudson’s mystery is no longer simply whether the baby is alive. His real question is much more dangerous: Where is Delilah’s baby now?
That is exactly why Josslyn’s upcoming slip could matter so much. Spoilers put Hudson and Joss in the orbit of Brook Lynn, Chase and their newly adopted daughter, Phoebe. Imagine Hudson hearing Joss casually mention the circumstances surrounding Phoebe’s adoption, when she arrived in Chase and Brook Lynn’s lives, or even Delilah’s name. One tiny detail could be enough for Hudson to connect everything Ethan desperately tried to keep apart.
Suddenly, Hudson could realize the shocking truth staring him in the face: Delilah’s baby never died. She is Phoebe. Ethan lied directly to Hudson because someone wanted Phoebe’s survival kept secret.
However, that may only be the first reveal. The obvious assumption would be that Hudson has been searching for Phoebe because he is her biological father. But what if General Hospital is setting viewers up to believe exactly that before delivering a much bigger twist?
What if Hudson is not Phoebe’s father at all?
Hudson’s behavior starts looking very different under that theory. He did not simply arrive in Port Charles as a desperate father searching for his missing child. He has another mission involving Jasper Jacks Enterprises, and he has repeatedly made it clear that he intends to finish what brought him to town. Why has GH kept Phoebe’s paternity mysterious for this long? If her biological father were simply an unknown man with no connection to Port Charles, there would be little reason to build such an elaborate trail involving Ethan, Ava, Hudson and Josslyn. A far more soap-worthy payoff would be discovering that Phoebe’s DNA connects her to a family viewers already know.
And there is one name becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: Jacks.
Hudson is tangled up with Jasper Jacks Enterprises. Josslyn is suddenly positioned directly between Hudson and Phoebe. Now Joss herself may accidentally provide the clue that exposes Delilah’s child. What if all these Jacks connections are leading somewhere?
That opens the door to an outrageous possibility: Jerry Jacks.
There is no confirmation that Jerry is Phoebe’s father, but imagine the consequences if Hudson were secretly working for him. Ethan’s behavior would suddenly make perfect sense. He would not simply be hiding Phoebe from Hudson. He would be hiding her from the dangerous man standing behind Hudson.
