Heather’s war with Andre is spreading, and that may finally expose what she actually came back to Fairmont Crest to accomplish.
At first, the story seemed intensely personal. Heather returned from Andre’s past, kissed him despite his resistance, and threatened to tell Dani what happened between them unless Andre gave her what she wanted.
But now Heather is expanding her reach.
Tuesday’s spoiler specifically says Heather toys with Martin and Smitty, while Wednesday finds her lashing out.
That raises an obvious question: if Heather’s only objective is Andre, why is she spending time playing games with other members of his family?
Smitty provides one possible answer.
He is an investigative reporter who has been digging into the Red Market plasma-ring story, and current previews explicitly connect that investigation to Heather’s decision to toy with him and Martin.
Heather may therefore have two problems colliding at once.
Andre represents her personal past. Smitty represents the danger of someone investigating matters she may not want examined. Martin, meanwhile, sits at the intersection of family and public influence.
That combination makes Heather’s behavior much more strategic than simple revenge against an ex.
She may be testing them.
A person carrying a dangerous secret does not always ask directly who knows it. Sometimes the safer move is to provoke people and watch their reactions.
Heather could mention something seemingly innocent to Martin and see whether he recognizes it. She could deliberately irritate Smitty to determine how much his investigation has uncovered. She could use Dani to measure how much Andre has confessed.
Every reaction gives Heather information.
And Andre may be the easiest person to read.
He is already rattled by her presence. He wants Heather away from Dani, and this week he is forced to confront his past. Meanwhile, Dani begins searching for answers before that hunt is abruptly cut short, and Ted later hides the truth about Andre.
That is a lot of secrecy surrounding one woman’s return.
It also suggests Heather may know that the Richardson family is vulnerable precisely because different people possess different pieces of the story.
Andre knows one version.
Ted may know another.
Smitty could uncover something independently.
Martin may know almost nothing — which could make him useful to Heather in an entirely different way.
The biggest danger for Heather is those pieces eventually coming together.
That would explain why controlling Andre alone is not enough.
If Smitty discovers information Andre cannot suppress, Heather loses leverage. If Dani learns the truth independently, blackmail becomes useless. If Ted decides protecting Andre requires exposing Heather first, the balance of power changes again.
Heather therefore has every reason to find out exactly where everyone stands.
Her Wednesday outburst could become particularly revealing.
Heather has been most powerful while remaining controlled. The moment she lashes out may be the moment somebody finally hits the nerve she has been protecting.
That could provide the first genuine clue about her endgame.
There is no confirmation Heather is orchestrating one giant scheme against the entire family. What is confirmed is that her influence is expanding beyond Andre at the exact moment his buried past is becoming harder to contain.
And that makes one possibility impossible to ignore.
Maybe Heather did not return to Fairmont Crest simply because she wanted something from Andre.
Maybe Andre was just the first person she needed to control.
