Chelsea Hamilton may be looking in completely the wrong direction on Beyond the Gates. The mysterious calls have convinced her that Allison has somehow returned to terrorize her, but the August 24 episode quietly introduced a problem with that conclusion: Allison is still locked inside a maximum-security facility. If Allison is not making those calls, then someone else knows exactly how to weaponize Chelsea’s worst trauma against her — and Heather could be the shocking answer.
The calls have been designed to make Chelsea think of Allison without actually proving Allison is involved. The unknown caller does not identify themselves. There is no recognizable voice and no direct threat. Instead, Chelsea hears silence and breathing before the person hangs up. That leaves Chelsea’s own fear to fill in the missing pieces.
That distinction matters.
Whoever is calling Chelsea may not want her to know their identity. They may want Chelsea to believe the caller is Allison.
Chelsea’s reaction shows exactly why that strategy works. The calls arrive around the anniversary of the nightmare she survived with Allison, immediately reopening wounds she has never completely escaped. The timing is so specific that Chelsea does not see it as coincidence.
Kat takes the possibility seriously enough to involve Jacob. But Jacob uncovers information that complicates Chelsea’s theory. Allison remains confined in maximum security, and a legitimate call from the facility should have included a recorded notification. The calls Chelsea received did not.
That leaves a frightening possibility.
Someone outside knows Chelsea’s history well enough to imitate Allison without ever using Allison’s voice.
Heather immediately becomes an intriguing suspect because she does not need to share Allison’s obsession with Chelsea. Her motive could be entirely different. Chelsea may simply be the easiest pressure point through which Heather can destabilize people around Dani and the Dupree family.
That would make these calls far more calculated than they initially appear.
Heather would not need to threaten Chelsea directly. She only needs to trigger the memory of Allison. A silent call from an unknown number does the work for her. Chelsea becomes frightened, Kat becomes distracted, Jacob gets pulled into the mystery, and another part of the family begins operating under pressure.
Most importantly, Heather stays invisible.
The strongest clue may be the timing. A random stalker would need to somehow discover when Chelsea is emotionally most vulnerable. Someone already watching the family, however, could know exactly when to strike. The anniversary of Allison’s attack provides the perfect cover because every clue automatically points toward Allison.
That could be Heather’s smartest move.
She does not have to impersonate Allison convincingly.
She only has to make Chelsea impersonate Allison in her own mind.
The theory becomes even darker if Heather has been studying Chelsea’s public life. Chelsea’s visibility means details about her relationships, family, and past trauma may not be impossible to find. Heather could combine public information with whatever she has learned while moving closer to Fairmont Crest.
Then the mysterious calls become surveillance rather than simple harassment.
Heather could be testing Chelsea.
How quickly does she panic?
Who does she call?
Does she go to Kat?
Does Jacob become involved?
Does Madison stay close?
Every reaction gives the stalker more information.
That creates a much bigger potential endgame. Chelsea may not even be Heather’s ultimate target.
Dani could be.
If Heather wants leverage over Dani, frightening Chelsea could destabilize the entire family without Heather ever confronting Dani directly. Chelsea’s fear pulls Naomi, Kat, Jacob, Madison and eventually other Duprees into the crisis. One anonymous phone can create chaos across several relationships.
There is another reason this twist would work: Allison becomes the perfect scapegoat.
If police continue focusing on whether Allison obtained a contraband phone or found an outside accomplice, the real caller gains more time. Every hour Jacob spends investigating Allison is an hour Heather remains outside the investigation.
And Heather could push the deception further.
The calls could eventually be followed by an object, message, photograph, or reference only Chelsea associates with her kidnapping. That would make Chelsea even more certain Allison is responsible.
Then one tiny mistake exposes everything.
Perhaps security footage catches Heather near Chelsea immediately before another call. Perhaps Jacob traces a burner phone. Perhaps Kat realizes one detail in the harassment was never known to Allison but was recently discussed around Heather.
That is when the entire mystery flips.
Chelsea has spent the storyline asking:
“How is Allison reaching me from maximum security?”
She may eventually realize that was never the right question.
The real question is:
“Who wants me to THINK Allison is reaching me?”
Allison may still be dangerous. She may even return eventually. But the August 24 calls leave enough uncertainty for Beyond the Gates to introduce something more sinister than a repeat of last year’s nightmare.
Chelsea survived one obsessed stalker.
Now someone else could be using that survival against her.
And if Heather is behind the calls, Chelsea is not simply being haunted by her past.
She is being deliberately pushed toward Allison while the real stalker hides in plain sight.
