KYLE SLIPS UP ON AUGUST 25 — CLAIRE EXPOSES HIS REAL PLAN FOR VICTORIA, AND VICTOR WAS THE TARGET ALL ALONG!

Kyle Abbott may have just made the mistake that blows his entire game wide open. On the August 25 episode of The Young and the Restless, what looked like a harmless business conversation with Victoria Newman suddenly took a much darker turn. Kyle agreed to consider reviving the old Jabot-Vibrante rivalry, but the way he talked about Victor and the Newman-Abbott conflict gave Claire exactly what she needed to question his real motive. Claire didn’t simply walk into an awkward moment between her mother and her ex. She may have caught Kyle exposing the revenge plan he never intended anyone to see.

Victoria was the one who approached Kyle with the proposal. After digging through old Newman records, she discovered the abandoned plan involving Vibrante, the cosmetics brand Victor once funded for Audra. Victoria suggested bringing Vibrante back and creating a staged public rivalry with Jabot. On paper, it sounded like smart publicity for both companies. Kyle was intrigued, but his reaction immediately brought Victor into the conversation. Instead of treating the idea as a straightforward marketing opportunity, Kyle focused on what Victor might think and what could happen if the Newman-Abbott war started again.

That was the slip. Kyle specifically reminded Victoria that his family was not pursuing revenge against Victor right now because of Nick’s recovery. It sounded cautious, but the choice of words was revealing. Why was revenge even on Kyle’s mind during a supposedly fake cosmetics rivalry? Victoria had presented him with a business opportunity, yet Kyle immediately connected it to the Abbotts settling scores with Victor. He then asked what Victor thought about the proposal and what would happen if Victor objected. Kyle appeared unusually interested in Victor’s reaction.

Victoria insisted she runs Newman and doesn’t need Victor’s permission. Kyle ultimately agreed to consider the deal and said he would discuss it with Jack. Then Claire arrived at exactly the wrong—or perhaps perfect—moment. She saw Kyle and Victoria together and quickly realized they weren’t discussing Nick. Once Victoria explained that they were considering a Newman-Jabot venture, Claire began asking questions. The more Kyle explained, the more suspicious the situation became.

Claire’s final question was devastating because she went directly to the motive Kyle had been circling around. She reminded him that he still blames Victor for what Patty Williams did to the Abbott family, then asked whether he was using Victoria to get revenge on Victor. Claire didn’t need a secret recording or hidden document. Kyle’s own words had connected Vibrante, the Abbott-Newman feud, revenge and Victor in the same conversation. She simply put the pieces together before anyone else did.

That possibility becomes even more explosive because of Vibrante’s history. Victor originally funded Audra’s company while interfering in Kyle and Claire’s relationship. If Kyle is now preparing to use Victor’s own company—and Victor’s own daughter—against him, the revenge would be brutally poetic. Victor once inserted Audra into Kyle’s personal life. Kyle could now be positioning himself beside Victoria and turning that relationship into Victor’s greatest vulnerability.

The biggest question is whether Victoria understands what she may be walking into. She believes she is proposing a mutually beneficial publicity stunt. Kyle could have a very different objective. A revived Vibrante gives him a legitimate reason to work closely with Victoria, challenge Newman publicly and watch Victor’s reaction without openly declaring war. Every move could be disguised as business while Kyle gets closer to the person Victor would never expect him to use against him.

Claire could therefore become the person who ruins everything. She knows Kyle well enough to recognize when something doesn’t add up, and her August 25 confrontation suggests she is already ahead of Victoria. If Kyle’s relationship with Victoria becomes more personal, Claire’s suspicion will only grow stronger. What initially looks like jealousy could transform into an investigation of Kyle’s true agenda.

There is also a delicious irony waiting for Victor. He has spent years manipulating relationships when he believed it protected Newman interests. If Claire is right, Kyle may finally be playing Victor’s own game against him. Instead of attacking Victor directly, Kyle could force him to watch his daughter become emotionally and professionally entangled with an Abbott while Vibrante drags Newman back into battle with Jabot.

Kyle hasn’t confessed to a revenge scheme, so his true motive remains unconfirmed. But August 25 gave Claire a major reason to suspect one. Kyle brought up revenge. Kyle repeatedly focused on Victor. Claire connected those clues immediately. If she is right, Victoria isn’t the real target of Kyle’s next move at all.

Victor is. And; Claire may have just become the first person to figure it out.
