General Hospital just made the Hudson mystery a lot more dangerous. For weeks, Hudson has looked like the suspicious outsider circling Josslyn, JJE, and Baby Phoebe. But the August 25 episode added an important new layer to the story. Hudson’s behavior surrounding the mysterious phone call strongly suggests that the man viewers have been watching is not necessarily the person at the top. Someone else appears to be connected to his agenda, and once the other clues are placed beside that moment, one notorious name becomes impossible to ignore.
Hudson’s contradictory behavior around Josslyn is the first major red flag. He initially pushed her toward taking control of her father’s company, yet he hardly behaved like someone genuinely eager to see her running JJE. His resistance, shifting attitude, and obvious concern over what Joss might discover inside the business make much more sense if getting her involved was never the true objective. Hudson could be protecting something buried inside JJE — or protecting someone who cannot afford to have Joss looking too closely.
That is why the August 25 phone-call sequence matters. Hudson suddenly looks less like an independent operator and more like a man answering to a larger plan. The question is no longer simply what Hudson wants. The real question is who benefits from his access to JJE and his proximity to Josslyn. If another person is directing events from the shadows, Hudson could merely be the visible piece of a scheme that started long before Joss was asked to step into her father’s company.
Then there is Jasper “Jax” Jacks. His unexplained absence has become increasingly difficult to separate from the JJE storyline. Jax is supposedly away sailing, but his lack of meaningful contact with Josslyn has created an enormous unanswered question. If something has happened to Jax, his disappearance would leave exactly the kind of power vacuum someone could exploit. Suddenly, Hudson’s involvement with JJE does not look like a random corporate storyline. It looks like the possible aftermath of removing the one person who stood in the way.
The WSB connection makes the situation even more suspicious. Josslyn being pulled between her intelligence work and her responsibilities at JJE creates a perfect collision between two worlds. If JJE were simply dealing with ordinary business problems, there would be little reason for the storyline to keep brushing against WSB territory. But if Hudson’s unseen connection involves someone with an international criminal history, the WSB angle suddenly fits perfectly.
Baby Phoebe and Ethan add another disturbing piece. Ethan deliberately concealed the identity of Phoebe’s biological father and described that man as dangerous. Hudson’s unusual interest in the situation therefore cannot be dismissed easily. The possibility that the Phoebe mystery and the JJE mystery are connected would explain why two seemingly separate storylines keep drifting toward the same group of characters. Hudson could know far more about Phoebe’s biological family than he has admitted.
And that brings the trail back to one name: Jerry Jacks.
Jerry would connect almost every major element currently hanging over this storyline. He is Jax’s brother, giving him a direct connection to the Jacks family and Josslyn. His history makes him believable as the kind of dangerous figure who could trigger WSB attention. He also has the intelligence, resources, and personal connection necessary for a plot involving JJE. Most importantly, Jerry is exactly the type of character who would benefit from operating through someone else while remaining invisible himself. Fans have independently been circling Jerry as a possible answer as well, with some openly hoping his return is behind the developing chaos.
There is an even wilder possibility surrounding Hudson himself. Could Hudson actually have a blood connection to Jerry? Some viewers have already connected Hudson, Phoebe, and the suspicious DNA storyline, including speculation that the switched DNA sample could somehow trace back to Jerry. If GH eventually takes that route, Hudson would not simply be working for the next major villain. His loyalty could be personal.
Nothing has yet confirmed Jerry as Hudson’s mystery connection, but the August 25 developments dramatically change how Hudson should be viewed. His secretive behavior, Jax’s absence, JJE, the WSB, Ethan’s warning, and Phoebe are beginning to look less like unrelated mysteries and more like pieces of one larger puzzle.
If that puzzle really leads back to Jerry Jacks, then Hudson is not the biggest threat Josslyn needs to worry about.
He is simply the man standing between her and whoever is waiting in the shadows.
