Kyle Abbott may believe he has finally found the perfect way to strike back at Victor Newman, but he could be making one enormous mistake: underestimating Victoria. Kyle and Victoria’s surprising Jabot-Vibrante partnership is moving forward, and the chemistry between them is becoming impossible to ignore. Yet behind the flirting and their supposedly friendly corporate competition, Victoria could already understand exactly what Kyle is doing — and she may be letting him continue because his revenge plan serves her own agenda perfectly.
Claire has already questioned Kyle’s true motives. She suspects his sudden interest in working with Victoria could be connected to his anger toward the Newman family. That suspicion matters because Kyle has plenty of reasons to resent Victor after everything that happened surrounding Claire. If Kyle wants revenge, getting close to Victor’s daughter while doing business with a Newman company would certainly be one of the most provocative ways to get it.
But Victoria Newman is hardly an easy target. She grew up watching Victor turn corporate warfare into an art form, and she has spent decades navigating Newman Enterprises, hostile competitors, family betrayals and complicated alliances. Kyle could think he is quietly manipulating Victoria while failing to recognize that she understands his game perfectly. Instead of confronting him, Victoria could simply be waiting to see how far he is willing to take it.
Diane’s reaction makes that possibility even more intriguing. After seeing Kyle and Victoria together, Diane does not simply question what Kyle is planning. She specifically makes it clear that Victoria is the person she does not trust. Jack has faith in Kyle, but Diane immediately senses danger around his new business partner. Diane knows exactly how experienced Victoria is, so her instincts could be warning her that Kyle is not the only person at that table with a hidden agenda.
Vibrante gives Victoria the perfect reason to keep Kyle close. Her proposal involves turning the historic Abbott-Newman rivalry into a highly publicized competition between Vibrante and Jabot. On the surface, both companies benefit from the publicity. Underneath, however, Vibrante arguably has much more to gain. Jabot is already an established cosmetics powerhouse, while Vibrante needs attention, momentum and a powerful relaunch.
Kyle himself recognizes the imbalance. During his conversation with Victoria, he worries that Jabot is so established it could crush Vibrante. Yet Victoria continues pushing the idea. That should raise an important question: why would an experienced executive deliberately put Vibrante against a stronger competitor unless she believed the confrontation itself was valuable?
The answer could be Jabot’s name.
Victoria does not necessarily need Vibrante to defeat Jabot immediately. She needs people talking about Vibrante again. A dramatic Jabot-versus-Vibrante campaign gives her exactly that. The Abbott-Newman rivalry already carries decades of history, and putting the two companies against each other creates instant attention. Every advertisement, public challenge and competitive stunt gives Vibrante exposure alongside one of Genoa City’s most recognizable brands.
Kyle could therefore be handing Victoria the launch platform she needs while believing he is the one controlling the situation.
That possibility becomes even stronger when considering Kyle’s personal motivations. If he entered the partnership partly because getting close to Victoria would irritate Victor, his emotions could make him less careful. Victoria can encourage the rivalry, enjoy Kyle’s attention and allow him to believe his plan is working while quietly rebuilding Vibrante through the publicity Jabot provides.
The biggest twist would come if Vibrante begins gaining real market share.
A competition designed as mutually beneficial entertainment could suddenly become dangerous for Jabot. If customers respond strongly to Vibrante and sales begin shifting, Kyle would face an impossible situation. He could protect Jabot and destroy the partnership, exposing whatever personal agenda brought him to Victoria in the first place, or continue helping Vibrante and risk damaging his own family’s company.
That is where Diane’s distrust could prove prophetic.
She could realize before Kyle does that Victoria never needed to expose his game. She only needed to let him keep playing it.
Victoria could even understand that Kyle wants to provoke Victor and decide that it does not matter. As long as Kyle’s anger produces publicity, access to Jabot’s audience and momentum for Vibrante, his revenge becomes useful to her. Kyle thinks Victoria is his weapon against Victor, while Victoria quietly turns Kyle into her weapon for rebuilding Vibrante.
And that would be the perfect Newman twist.
Kyle Abbott could walk into this partnership convinced that he is finally playing Victor’s game.
Only to discover that Victor’s daughter learned how to play it long before he did.
