Drew may believe he just pulled off the perfect crime on General Hospital, but he could have made the biggest mistake of his entire revenge campaign. Ava drugged Jack Brennan’s drink so Drew could slip into his room and eliminate the evidence threatening him. On the surface, everything appears to be falling exactly into place. But Drew may have overlooked one dangerous detail: the woman he convinced to do his dirty work could become the witness who helps bring his entire scheme crashing down.
The plan was already dangerous before Ava ever touched Brennan’s drink. Drew needed Brennan incapacitated long enough to gain access to his room and deal with evidence connected to the McConkey Esplanade money. Instead of taking the risk himself, Drew handed Ava a sleeping pill and pushed her into the most incriminating part of the operation. Ava crushed the pill and slipped it into Brennan’s drink, putting herself directly in the middle of whatever happens next.
That distinction could become extremely important. Drew supplied the pill, but Ava was the person who physically drugged Brennan. If security footage, witnesses or another piece of evidence reveals what happened, Ava could immediately find herself exposed. She already questioned whether Drew was setting her up to take the fall, and that concern suddenly looks much more significant. Drew may call Ava his partner, but he has positioned her perfectly to absorb the consequences if their scheme is discovered.
And there is another disturbing question hanging over the entire plan: does Ava really know what Drew gave her? The pill was presented as something that would simply put Brennan to sleep, but some fans are already questioning whether Drew told Ava the complete truth. There is no confirmation that the drug was anything more dangerous, so Brennan’s fate should not be exaggerated. Still, Ava accepted a pill from Drew and secretly put it into another man’s drink. That alone gives Drew enormous leverage if he ever decides he needs someone else to blame.
The bigger problem for Drew, however, may be what he does after Brennan is incapacitated. Getting Brennan out of the way is only the first step. Drew still has to enter the room, access the evidence and escape without leaving anything behind. That creates multiple opportunities for one tiny mistake—a security record, an electronic trace, a witness, a misplaced object or something Drew simply fails to notice.
And the spoilers make that possibility especially dangerous.
Carly and Valentin are preparing to move against Drew, and they are specifically positioned to capitalize when Drew makes a mistake. Even more suspiciously, Carly and Valentin soon develop a theory. That sequence strongly suggests Drew’s operation may not end as cleanly as he expects. He could successfully eliminate the evidence Brennan possesses while accidentally creating an entirely new trail leading straight back to himself.
That would be classic Drew arrogance. He has become increasingly convinced that he can manipulate everyone around him because he understands what they want. He knows Ava is furious with Sonny. He knows Brennan represents a threat. He knows which emotional buttons to push. But manipulating desperate people only works until they realize they have been manipulated.
Ava could become Drew’s greatest miscalculation.
She initially resisted the plan and recognized the danger immediately. If Brennan’s drugging attracts unwanted attention or Drew abandons her when the pressure begins, Ava will have every reason to protect herself. And protecting herself could mean revealing exactly who supplied the pill, why Brennan had to be incapacitated and what Drew intended to do while Brennan was vulnerable.
There is also another wildcard: Charlotte.
Upcoming developments indicate Charlotte becomes alarmed, fueling speculation that she could encounter something connected to Brennan and inadvertently disrupt Drew’s carefully constructed plan. If Charlotte discovers Brennan in distress or notices something suspicious, the information could quickly reach Valentin. And once Valentin begins connecting those dots with Carly, Drew may have a much bigger problem than the evidence he originally tried to erase.
The irony would be devastating.
Drew launched this operation because Brennan possessed information capable of destroying him. But in trying to erase that threat, Drew may create an even more dangerous one. Ava knows about the pill. Security could expose the break-in. Charlotte could stumble onto part of the aftermath. Carly and Valentin are already watching for weakness.
Suddenly, Drew’s supposedly brilliant plan has witnesses, loose ends and enemies everywhere.
And Ava may ultimately decide she refuses to be his fall guy.
If Drew tries to sacrifice her to save himself, he could discover exactly why manipulating Ava Jerome is such a dangerous game. Ava has survived far more powerful enemies than Drew, and once she realizes someone has used her, loyalty tends to disappear very quickly.
Drew wanted Brennan’s evidence gone.
Instead, he may have created the evidence that finally destroys him.
The question is no longer whether Drew’s plan worked.
It’s whether Carly, Valentin—and perhaps Ava herself—are about to make him wish he had never walked into Brennan’s room.
