DREW USES AVERY TO DESTROY SONNY — BUT AVA’S DARKEST CHOICE COULD COST HER HER DAUGHTER!

Drew Cain says he wants revenge on Sonny Corinthos, but his most dangerous weapon may not be money, blackmail, or another secret scheme. It may be Avery Corinthos. After Drew deliberately used Ava Jerome’s fear of losing her daughter to push her deeper into his plan, General Hospital has created a terrifying possibility: Ava joined Drew because she wanted to protect her place in Avery’s life, but helping him could become the very thing that costs her Avery.

Drew’s revenge campaign has grown far beyond one enemy. While discussing his plans with Martin, Drew revealed that the people he wants to punish all seem to have one thing in common: Sonny. That realization puts Sonny directly in Drew’s sights, but it also means anyone emotionally connected to Sonny could become useful leverage. Ava is especially vulnerable because Drew already knows exactly what matters most to her.

That weakness is Avery.

Ava’s conflict with Sonny has reopened old fears about her future with their daughter. She believes Sonny could use his power and his relationship with Laura against her, potentially threatening her access to Avery. Drew did not simply listen to those fears. He exploited them. When Ava began hesitating over the dangerous plan involving Jack Brennan, Drew brought the conversation back to Avery and reminded Ava what she believed she could lose if Sonny remained unchecked.

It worked.

Ava crushed the pill and drugged Brennan’s drink, allowing Drew’s operation to move forward. That decision changes everything because Ava is no longer merely listening to Drew’s revenge plans. She has actively participated in one. And that creates an enormous contradiction: Ava committed a dangerous act because she was afraid Sonny could take Avery away, yet that same act could potentially give her enemies exactly the ammunition they need against her.

Nina already warned Ava that working with Drew could create even more problems. Ava may soon discover just how accurate that warning was. If the Brennan scheme is exposed, Drew has every reason to protect himself first. He can claim Ava made her own choices, while Ava remains the person who physically put the drug into Brennan’s drink.

That raises an even darker question: did Drew ever truly intend to help Ava protect her relationship with Avery?

Drew may have simply discovered Ava’s emotional pressure point. He did not need Ava to hate Brennan. He did not even need her to completely trust him. He only needed her to believe that helping him was somehow connected to stopping Sonny and protecting her future with Avery. Once Drew established that connection, Ava became far easier to manipulate.

And Avery could ultimately pay the emotional price.

That does not mean Avery is headed for physical danger. There is currently no confirmed spoiler saying Avery will be kidnapped, injured, or directly targeted. The more compelling possibility is that Avery becomes collateral damage in another vicious battle between adults who claim they are protecting children while repeatedly using those children as leverage.

That pattern is becoming impossible to ignore.

Drew has been accused of using Scout and Danny to pressure the adults around them. Sonny has also invoked children while trying to influence people around him. Now Avery has entered the same ugly cycle. Instead of being protected from Sonny and Ava’s conflict, she is becoming the reason Ava can be pushed into increasingly reckless decisions.

But Drew may be making one enormous mistake.

He appears to believe Avery is Ava’s weakness. In reality, Avery could become the reason Ava eventually turns against him.

Ava has survived enough betrayals to recognize when someone has used her. If she realizes Drew deliberately weaponized her fear of losing Avery, any alliance between them could collapse instantly. And if the Brennan operation threatens Ava’s freedom, reputation, or position as Avery’s mother, she may decide that destroying Drew is the only way to protect herself.

That could produce the twist Drew never sees coming.

Imagine Ava discovering that the man who promised to help her against Sonny has actually placed her relationship with Avery in greater danger than Sonny ever could. Suddenly, Drew would no longer have an ally. He would have another enemy — one who knows exactly what he has been planning.

The cruel irony would be perfect.

Ava joined Drew because she feared losing Avery.

Drew used Avery because he needed Ava.

And if his revenge against Sonny explodes, Ava could realize she nearly sacrificed the most important relationship in her life for a man who never cared whether she kept her daughter at all.

Drew thinks Avery gives him control over Ava.

He may soon discover that Avery is the reason Ava destroys him.
