SPOILER ALERT: Heather’s mysterious notebook may be the most dangerous piece of evidence she has placed on the table yet. What looked like a simple record of her movements could actually reveal a much bigger plan — one designed to protect Heather, compromise Joey and ultimately give her access to the empire he refused to share with her.
The September 9 confrontation between Joey and Heather changed everything because of one seemingly small detail. After Joey accused his sister of turning every connection into leverage or a threat — and specifically brought up Lia Whitmore ending up dead — Heather reached into her purse and produced a notebook. She described it as a detailed log of every one of her movements.
That explanation immediately raises a question. Why would Heather, a woman connected to the Impaler and an international criminal network, voluntarily create a written record documenting everywhere she has been? Someone as calculating as Heather should understand exactly how dangerous such a record could become if it fell into the wrong hands.
The timing makes the notebook even more suspicious. Heather did not casually show it to Joey earlier in their conversation. She produced it immediately after Joey mentioned Lia Whitmore. Lia’s death remains tied to the larger Impaler investigation, and Jacob is still digging for answers. That makes Heather’s notebook look less like an innocent diary and more like something created specifically to control the story surrounding her movements.
There is another critical clue: Heather already knows Joey has been watching her. By presenting him with her own detailed movement log and mocking the effectiveness of his employees, Heather essentially revealed that she was aware of his surveillance. If Heather knew she was being followed, then she also had the opportunity to control what Joey’s people saw.
That opens the door to a much darker possibility. The notebook may not document where Heather truly went. It may document where Heather wants everyone to believe she went.
If the dates, locations and encounters inside that notebook were carefully manufactured, Heather could be building an alibi before anyone officially accuses her of anything. She would not simply be reacting to an investigation. She would be staying several moves ahead of it.
But the notebook could serve another purpose that is even more dangerous for Joey.
Joey already knows far more about Heather than most people around him realize. Heather previously revealed her connection to the Impaler operation directly to her brother, yet Joey has not publicly exposed everything he knows. That means Joey has already become entangled in Heather’s secret simply by keeping it.
Now Heather has deliberately placed a record of her movements in Joey’s hands.
Imagine what happens if Jacob’s investigation eventually leads police to Joey and that notebook is discovered among his possessions. Investigators would have an obvious question: Why does Joey have a private movement log belonging to the woman connected to the Impaler network?
Suddenly Joey would not look like an innocent brother trying to control his dangerous sister. He could look like someone monitoring her movements, protecting her activities or even working alongside her.
That may be exactly the leverage Heather needs.
Heather once wanted a partnership with Joey, but Joey refused. He had his own operation and did not want to merge his world with hers. Since then, Heather’s Red Market connections have faced growing pressure, while Heather herself has become increasingly embedded in Fairmont Crest.
Nicole has already noticed the pattern. She accused Heather of infiltrating her family and friends. Heather has repeatedly inserted herself into the lives of people surrounding Joey, even after being warned to stay away.
Then came another enormous clue during the notebook confrontation.
Heather criticized Joey’s employees and confidently said “they” would fix the problem. She did not clearly explain who “they” were.
That single word could eventually become crucial. If Heather has people working around Joey — or has already begun inserting members of her own network into his territory — then the notebook may be only one piece of a much larger takeover.
Her final comment makes that possibility even harder to ignore. Joey had just told Heather to pack her bags and return to London. Heather’s response was effectively the opposite: she declared that the DMV was beginning to feel more and more like home.
Heather is not acting like a woman preparing to leave.
She is acting like a woman putting down roots.
That is why the notebook may ultimately expose Heather’s real plan. She may no longer be trying to convince Joey to join her empire. She may be positioning herself to take his.
The notebook can protect Heather if investigators come looking. It can compromise Joey if police discover it in his possession. And if Joey ever decides to expose everything he knows about his sister, Heather may already have created enough evidence to drag him down with her.
Joey thought Heather handed him proof of where she had been.
But Heather may have handed him something far more dangerous.
She may have handed him the evidence that will eventually make him her fall guy — clearing the final obstacle between Heather and the empire she wanted from the beginning.
