PHYLLIS FINDS CANE’S ORIGINAL ARABESQUE TARGET LIST — ONE CIRCLED NAME EXPOSES THE COMPANY SHE PLANS TO TAKE FIRST!

Phyllis has told Daniel she intends to make Genoa City hers, and Cane may be the only person who understands how literal those words could become. Now one forgotten document from the Aristotle Dumas era could give Phyllis everything she needs to turn that declaration into a corporate war — Cane’s original Arabesque target list.

Cane has already confronted Phyllis about her real intentions.

She wants the strategic properties he separated from Arabesque.

Cane knows those assets were never random.

They were pieces on a much larger board.

That is why he immediately recognized the possibility that Phyllis intends to revive the takeover strategy he once abandoned.

Phyllis never gave him a convincing denial.

Then she told Daniel she was going to make Genoa City hers.

Those two scenes together create a dangerous possibility.

Phyllis may not need to invent a new plan.

Cane already built one.

Imagine Phyllis searching through the old Arabesque files Victor handed her.

Buried among acquisition documents and Dumas-era records is a page Cane never expected anyone else to use.

It contains the names of Genoa City’s biggest power centers.

Newman.

Jabot.

Chancellor.

Abbott Communications.

Beside each company are old notes showing how Cane intended to weaken, acquire or control them.

Then Phyllis notices one name circled.

There is currently no confirmation that such a physical target list exists, but Cane’s previous takeover ambitions provide the foundation for the theory.

The real twist would be which company Phyllis chooses first.

Newman seems obvious.

Victor humiliated her repeatedly, and Arabesque itself came into Phyllis’ hands through him.

Jabot would also make sense because of Phyllis’ complicated history with Jack and the Abbotts.

But Chancellor creates the most explosive possibility.

Cane is currently focused on Chancellor.

That means Phyllis could use Cane’s abandoned Arabesque strategy to attack the very company he is now trying to protect or control.

The irony would be brutal.

Cane built the blueprint.

Cane assembled the properties.

Cane created Arabesque.

Then Phyllis takes all three and turns them against him.

That would explain why Cane was so determined to learn her endgame.

Perhaps he recognizes pieces of his own strategy appearing in everything she asks for.

Phyllis may believe she is being unpredictable.

To Cane, she could be following a map he knows by heart.

But there is one major difference.

Cane abandoned the plan.

Phyllis may not.

Her “make Genoa City mine” declaration suddenly becomes much more ominous if she discovers a ready-made acquisition strategy inside Arabesque.

Daniel hears those words as his mother reclaiming her place in the city.

Cane hears something else.

A takeover.

And if Chancellor is first, their uneasy relationship could explode immediately.

Phyllis could begin quietly acquiring leverage while pretending Arabesque is merely rebuilding.

Lauren might believe they are expanding.

Victor might assume Phyllis is targeting Newman.

Jack could worry about Jabot.

Meanwhile, the real first target sits somewhere nobody expects.

Cane would eventually recognize the pattern.

One transaction.

One strategic property.

One company suddenly under pressure.

Then he realizes Phyllis isn’t merely copying his old plan.

She is improving it.

That discovery could create the next phase of their rivalry.

Does Cane warn Chancellor?

Does he sabotage Arabesque?

Or does he secretly admire Phyllis enough to let her make the first move?

Phyllis believes Cane abandoned his takeover because he failed.

She may decide the plan itself wasn’t the problem.

The man executing it was.

One forgotten Arabesque document could therefore become her roadmap.

And if Cane sees one familiar company circled on Phyllis’ copy, he may finally understand exactly what “make Genoa City mine” really means.
