If an old record connected to Delia Abbott resurfaces, Billy may discover that the paternity scandal he thought was settled years ago still contains one unanswered question.
Cane’s presence at the Abbott mansion already carries history. Long before Billy and Sally’s wedding, Cane and Billy were connected by Chloe Mitchell’s pregnancy and the child who would become Cordelia “Delia” Abbott. Chloe initially allowed Cane to believe he was the father, while Billy was actually Delia’s biological dad.

That distinction could make the twist even stronger.
Billy has lived for years carrying Delia’s memory as both a source of tremendous love and devastating grief. Delia later battled leukemia, and Billy became crucial to her treatment when he was secretly brought back to provide the bone marrow she needed. Her eventual death left a wound that continued shaping Billy’s life long afterward.
So imagine Cane mentioning one seemingly insignificant detail during the bachelor party.
Perhaps Cane recalls that one of the early records never made sense. Perhaps a document he kept from the custody battle contains a date, signature or testing detail Billy never saw. Billy might initially dismiss Cane’s warning as another attempt to disrupt his celebration — until Cane produces something tangible.

His own past involved a massive Chancellor identity deception and suspicious genetic evidence before the real Phillip Chancellor III eventually returned.
That history makes Cane the perfect person to recognize something suspicious in an old record.
He knows what manipulated family evidence looks like.
And if Cane realizes Delia’s paperwork contains the same kind of inconsistency, Billy’s bachelor party could instantly become an investigation into the past.
There is another explosive connection lurking in this story as well: Chloe later became involved in yet another paternity controversy when Billy was briefly suspected of fathering Bella. That ultimately did not prove true, but Chloe’s reproductive history has repeatedly intersected with uncertainty surrounding Billy and fatherhood.
That doesn’t prove a new Delia twist is coming, but it gives the writers plenty of history to revisit.
The emotional stakes would be enormous because Billy isn’t simply preparing to marry Sally. He is preparing to begin another chapter of his life. Nothing could destabilize that moment faster than having Delia’s name suddenly pulled out of the past.
And Cane may be the last person Billy wants delivering the news.
The man Billy sees as an unwanted guest could become the man holding the one document Billy cannot ignore.
If Cane places that old record in Billy’s hands and tells him there was something they both missed, the bachelor party will stop being a celebration immediately.
Because Billy already knows one terrible truth about Delia’s story.
