But Kat could be playing a much smarter game. Instead of confronting Randy immediately, she may be watching his movements, checking his timeline, and waiting for him to lead her directly to the evidence she needs. If Randy can somehow be connected to the sonogram, the serum, or both, Hayley may suddenly have a much bigger problem than Kat asking questions.
The biggest clue is simple: Kat spies on Randy. That wording matters because spying suggests deliberate surveillance rather than an accidental encounter. Kat may already believe Randy knows something important, and following him gives her the opportunity to learn what he does when he thinks nobody is watching. Where does he go? Who does he meet? What does he carry? And most importantly, do any of his movements overlap with the secrets surrounding Hayley?
Kat’s smartest move would be refusing to confront him. If she walks up to Randy and demands answers, she immediately tells him he has been exposed. Randy could disappear, destroy evidence, warn Hayley, or change his routine. But if Kat stays quiet, Randy could continue behaving normally. Every phone call, meeting, delivery, and unexplained stop could become another piece of a timeline Kat is quietly assembling.
That is where the Sammy identity becomes especially dangerous. Dani has already confirmed that Sammy is Randy, meaning the mysterious name is not protecting a completely separate person. Sammy and Randy are the same man. That connection could give Kat another avenue to investigate. If she discovers that certain suspicious events involved someone named Sammy, she may eventually ask the obvious question: why did Randy need another name in the first place?
The sonogram could become the first major crack in the wall. Kat does not necessarily need to catch Randy openly admitting anything. Who dealt with Sammy? Which events surrounding Hayley overlap with those appearances? Once Kat begins comparing those details, the alias meant to hide Randy could become the very thing that exposes a pattern.
However, one major question remains: what does Kat actually see while spying on Randy?
The spoiler establishes that Kat watches him, but it does not automatically mean she witnesses a complete transaction or immediately discovers the entire scheme. She may catch only one tiny detail—a suspicious object, a meeting, a location, or an exchange that makes no sense at first. That possibility could make Kat’s investigation even more dangerous because she would have to build the case herself instead of receiving an easy confession.
And Kat may be smart enough to use that uncertainty against Randy.
Imagine Kat discovers enough to know Randy is involved but deliberately pretends she knows nothing. Randy relaxes. He believes his Sammy identity is still protecting him. He continues moving between people, locations, and secrets while Kat quietly follows behind. Instead of forcing Randy to confess, Kat allows him to expose his own network.
That would turn the entire situation into a trap.
Hayley may believe Randy is the person cleaning up her problems, but Kat could discover that he is actually the missing link connecting them. The sonogram, the serum, the Sammy identity, and Randy’s movements do not have to mean anything individually. Put them on the same timeline, however, and they could become devastating.
Kat may not need Randy to talk.
She may only need him to keep moving.
Because if Kat connects Randy to the sonogram, follows that trail toward the serum, and finally traces everything back to Hayley, Randy’s secret identity will not save her.
Hayley thinks Randy is covering her tracks. But Kat may be about to prove that Randy IS the track.
