Josslyn Jacks thought she had just received the biggest surprise of her life when Hudson revealed that Jax had supposedly chosen her to become the new CEO of Jasper Jacks Enterprises. But what if that shocking promotion was never real? What if Jax never handed his company to his daughter at all? Suddenly, Hudson’s announcement looks less like a business decision and more like the beginning of a dangerous trap — one that could force Joss to ask an even more terrifying question: Where is Jax really?
The biggest red flag is surprisingly simple. Jax never told Joss himself. This is not a minor corporate decision or a temporary assignment. According to Hudson, Jax has effectively placed his business empire in his daughter’s hands while he sails around the world. Yet Joss did not receive the news directly from her father. There was no personal phone call, no emotional conversation and no clear explanation from Jax about why he suddenly wanted her running JJE.
Instead, everything came through Hudson.
That detail could become extremely important. Hudson claims Jax is away sailing, which conveniently explains why he cannot personally answer Joss’s questions. But if Jax is simply enjoying an extended trip, why does he seem so strangely absent at the exact moment his company is undergoing a massive leadership change? A man with Jax’s resources should hardly be impossible to reach. The longer Jax remains silent, the more suspicious Hudson’s story could become.
And Hudson may not actually need Joss to run JJE.
He may only need her to believe that she can.
If Joss accepts the CEO position, she could suddenly gain the authority to sign documents, approve transactions and access parts of JJE that were previously unavailable to her. Hudson could then bury something dangerous inside an ordinary stack of corporate paperwork. One signature might transfer control of an account. Another could authorize access to an asset. Joss could believe she is simply handling her father’s company while unknowingly helping Hudson complete a much larger plan.
But Hudson may be seriously underestimating Joss.
Her instincts could eventually tell her that something about the situation does not add up. Instead of confronting Hudson immediately, Joss could pretend to accept his explanation while secretly investigating him. She could start checking JJE records, comparing dates and searching for direct confirmation that her father actually approved the leadership change.
That is where the first bombshell could explode.
Imagine Joss finally finding a way to contact Jax. Perhaps she receives an emergency message, a heavily distorted call or even a brief communication sent through a channel Hudson does not control. Joss tells her father that she knows he appointed her CEO.
There is silence.
Then Jax says the five words that could turn the entire storyline upside down:
“I never made you CEO.”
At that moment, everything Hudson told Joss would become suspect.
Joss could immediately return to the documents connected to her appointment. Perhaps Jax’s signature looks almost perfect — but not quite. Maybe the authorization was created after the last date anyone can independently confirm Jax was safe. Even more disturbing, Joss might discover that Hudson himself had access to the system used to prepare the documents.
And if Hudson lied about the CEO appointment, Joss would have to reconsider his other major claim.
Is Jax really sailing around the world?
That could transform a corporate storyline into a full disappearance mystery. Jax might be hiding because he discovered something dangerous. He could have been deliberately cut off from his family. Someone could be preventing him from communicating with Joss. Whatever the explanation, “sailing” could turn out to be something far more sinister than a vacation story.
Hudson’s connection to Ethan only makes the situation more intriguing. Joss already has reasons to question exactly what Hudson is doing in Port Charles. If his search for Ethan somehow overlaps with JJE, Jax or another hidden agenda, then the fake CEO appointment could be only one piece of a much bigger puzzle.
The smartest twist would be having Joss turn Hudson’s own scheme against him. She accepts the CEO position publicly, allowing Hudson to believe his plan is working. Privately, however, she uses her new access to dig deeper into JJE.
Then she finds the file Hudson never expected her to see.
Inside could be records connected to Jax’s final known movements, a suspicious transfer and Hudson’s own name. Joss stares at the screen as the horrifying possibility becomes clear: Hudson may know exactly what happened to her father.
Then the office door opens.
Hudson is standing behind her.
He looks at the file on Joss’s screen and calmly asks:
“Find what you were looking for?”
If Jax never made Joss CEO, Hudson’s lie could be far bigger than corporate fraud. He may have placed Joss inside JJE because he needs something only a Jacks can give him.
But did Hudson make one fatal mistake by giving Joss the access she needs to expose him?
