Why does Hudson care so much about Josslyn Jacks taking control of Jasper Jacks Enterprises? That may be the question that blows this entire General Hospital storyline wide open. What initially looks like a surprising business opportunity could be hiding something far more personal, especially when the man supposedly handing Joss the keys to his empire is nowhere around to explain himself.
Jax allegedly wants Joss to become CEO of JJE, yet the situation immediately feels strange. A decision this enormous should seemingly involve a direct conversation between father and daughter. Instead, Hudson is the one delivering information, answering questions and repeatedly pushing Joss toward accepting the position. The harder Hudson pushes, the more obvious one question becomes: what does HE gain if Joss says yes?
That could be exactly what catches Brennan’s attention. Rather than immediately believing Hudson is running a simple corporate scam, Brennan may recognize that something deeper does not fit. Hudson appears unusually invested in Joss gaining control of a company that supposedly belongs to her father. If money were Hudson’s only objective, there would be easier ways to manipulate Joss. His fixation on JJE itself could suggest the company means something personal to him.
Brennan could therefore stop investigating the offer and start investigating the man behind it. Hudson’s employment history might look legitimate. His connection to JJE might initially check out. But family records could produce something Brennan never expected — an irregularity involving Hudson’s birth, his mother or even an old surname that appears nowhere in the story Hudson has told Joss.
That tiny discrepancy could lead Brennan straight into Jasper Jacks’ past.
Imagine Brennan discovering that Hudson’s mother crossed paths with Jax years ago. It would not necessarily prove anything at first. Perhaps her name appears beside an old business transaction, a location Jax visited or a period of his life that has never been fully explored. But when Brennan compares that connection with Hudson’s date of birth, the timeline suddenly becomes impossible to ignore.
At that point, the mystery changes completely. Brennan would no longer be asking whether Hudson is trying to scam Joss. He would be asking whether Hudson came to Port Charles because he believes Jasper Jacks owes him something.
And that would finally explain Hudson’s strange obsession with getting Joss into the CEO chair.
What if Hudson is not trying to steal Joss’s inheritance at all? What if he believes part of that inheritance belongs to HIM?
Joss taking control of JJE could give Hudson access to exactly what he needs. Corporate archives, old legal documents, private family records or financial agreements could contain evidence about Jax’s past. Hudson may need Joss to open a door that has remained closed to him for his entire life. Suddenly, pushing her toward JJE would not be about helping Joss become powerful. But Brennan would need more than suspicious dates and buried records before dropping a bombshell this explosive on Joss.
That is where DNA could change everything.
If Brennan somehow obtained enough evidence to justify comparing Hudson’s DNA with Joss’s, he would not necessarily need Jax himself to establish a shocking family connection. A comparison between Hudson and Joss could reveal something neither of them was prepared to see.
A half-sibling match.
That result would turn the entire JJE mystery upside down.
Hudson could be Jasper Jacks’ secret son.
And Joss may have just discovered she has a brother.
The reveal would immediately transform Hudson from a suspicious corporate outsider into a potential member of the Jacks family with a blood claim of his own. His interest in JJE would suddenly have an emotional and financial motive. He would not simply be standing beside the Jacks empire looking in. He could believe he was deliberately excluded from something that should have belonged partly to him.
However, an even darker question would remain: did Hudson already know?
If Hudson had no idea Jax could be his father, the DNA result could devastate him just as much as Joss. His strange behavior might have been driven by unanswered questions about his mother and his past rather than a calculated plan.

If he did not, Port Charles could be watching a decades-old secret explode without warning. But if Jax already knew Hudson existed, then his mysterious absence becomes far more suspicious. Perhaps Joss receiving control of JJE was never simply a father trusting his daughter with the family empire.
Maybe Jax was preparing for another heir to come knocking.
Because the real mystery may not be why Jax chose Joss.
It may be why Hudson desperately needed her to say yes before she discovered who he really was.
