Hudson’s arrival in Port Charles may be far more dangerous than it first appeared. His connection to Jax and Jasper Jacks Enterprises gives him a perfectly legitimate reason to be there, but the timing raises a massive question. Why has a man tied directly to Jax appeared just as the mystery surrounding Phoebe’s biological father is becoming impossible to ignore? What if Hudson was never sent to Port Charles for business at all? What if Jax sent him for Phoebe?
That possibility becomes explosive if one wild theory proves true: Jerry Jacks could be Phoebe’s biological father. Ethan has already gone to extraordinary lengths surrounding Phoebe’s paternity mystery, suggesting the identity of her real father may carry consequences far beyond an ordinary family secret. If Jerry is the man Ethan has been trying to keep away from Phoebe, suddenly the secrecy makes terrifying sense.
And Jerry being Phoebe’s father would give Jax an intensely personal reason to interfere. Jerry is Jax’s brother, which would make Phoebe Jax’s niece. Jax would no longer be watching somebody else’s family crisis from a distance. He would be dealing with a hidden member of his own family — and potentially racing against his own brother to reach her.
What if Jax discovered the truth before anyone realized he was involved? A forgotten document, DNA trail, financial record, or secret connected to Jerry’s past could have alerted Jax that his brother had a daughter. Once Jax connected that child to Phoebe, he would immediately understand the danger. Jerry finding out about Phoebe could change everything.
That could explain Hudson’s real mission. His JJE connection gives him the perfect cover to move through Port Charles without announcing that Jax is investigating his own brother. Publicly, Hudson can look like a corporate representative handling Jacks family business. Privately, his instructions may be much simpler and much more urgent: Find Phoebe before Jerry does.
This also creates a fascinating new explanation for the tension surrounding Ethan and Hudson. They may appear suspicious of each other because they seem to be pursuing opposite goals. But what if they are unknowingly protecting Phoebe from two different directions?
Ethan’s mission could be to hide Phoebe from Jerry. Hudson’s mission could be to find Phoebe before Jerry reaches her. Ethan destroys or manipulates the trail because he believes nobody can be trusted with the truth. Hudson follows that same trail because Jax believes Phoebe needs protection. The two men could think they are enemies while actually forming two separate layers of defense around the same young woman.
There is an even darker possibility. Ethan may know that Hudson works for Jax, yet still refuse to cooperate with him. Knowing Jax sent Hudson would not automatically prove Jax’s intentions. Ethan could be asking the same frightening question viewers would ask: Does Jax want to protect Phoebe from Jerry — or does he ultimately intend to reunite Jerry with his secret daughter?
But one question threatens to blow this entire theory wide open: Why hasn’t Jax returned to Port Charles himself? If Jax knows Phoebe is his niece and believes Jerry could be coming for her, sending someone else seems strangely indirect. Unless Jax cannot risk showing his hand.
Jax’s return could immediately alert Jerry that something important has been discovered. Jerry may even be watching his brother’s movements. If Jax suddenly rushed back to Port Charles and began asking questions about Phoebe, Jerry might know exactly where to look. Hudson would therefore become valuable precisely because he can investigate without carrying the obvious Jacks-family warning sign.
Joss could become the person who accidentally exposes the entire operation. Hudson’s connection to Jax and JJE puts him close enough to Joss for her to notice inconsistencies. One question about Phoebe that he should not know to ask, one suspicious reaction to Jerry’s name, or one piece of information that has nothing to do with JJE could be enough.
Then Joss would have to confront a chilling possibility: Her father did not send Hudson to Port Charles to handle business. He sent him to find a member of their family nobody knew existed.
But the biggest twist may still be coming.
Jax could believe Hudson is racing Jerry to Phoebe. Ethan could believe he has successfully buried enough evidence to keep Jerry away. Hudson could believe his mission remains secret.
What if all three of them are already too late?
Perhaps Jax launched this secret operation because someone had already accessed a hidden record connected to Phoebe. Maybe Jerry has already discovered that he has a daughter. Maybe Hudson was never sent to investigate whether Jerry would eventually find Phoebe.
Maybe Jax sent him because Jerry already started looking.
If so, Hudson’s arrival is not the beginning of the mystery. It is the beginning of a countdown.
And the real question is no longer whether Jerry Jacks is Phoebe’s father.
It is who gets to Phoebe first.
