Instead of letting the subject go, Hudson became suspicious and then insisted on remaining in Port Charles.

Brook Lynn will demand to know why he is leaving, but Chase cannot tell her everything without destroying the very protection his disappearance is supposed to create.
Before he goes, Chase could leave behind one final insurance policy: a sealed envelope meant for Brook Lynn. His instructions are simple — do not open it unless he fails to return. Inside are the records Chase uncovered about Delilah, the hidden DNA connection and, most importantly, the name of Phoebe’s biological father. Brook Lynn has the answer sitting within reach, but opening that envelope could unleash exactly what Chase was trying to stop.
Then comes the real nightmare.
Chase leaves Port Charles believing the danger will follow him. Hudson does not.
