The biggest clue is the one viewers already know: Cassius Faison survived. Port Charles can believe Cassius is gone, but the audience knows otherwise, creating the perfect opening for him to operate from the shadows while someone else carries out his orders.
Cassius surviving Ross Cullum’s attack changes everything because his disappearance does not have to mean he ran away. It could mean he deliberately stayed “dead.” After everything involving the WSB, Cullum, and Z, Cassius has every reason to understand how dangerous it would be to announce that he survived. Remaining invisible gives him something far more valuable than freedom: the ability to move while his enemies believe he is no longer on the board.
That brings Hudson’s mysterious phone call into focus. Hudson has already become deeply connected to both the Phoebe mystery and JJE, yet the person receiving his updates remains hidden. The timing becomes especially suspicious once Josslyn moves closer to taking control at Jasper Jacks Enterprises. If Hudson is secretly reporting to Cassius, that call was not simply about corporate politics. It was a warning that the WSB had just gained a direct path inside JJE.
Josslyn is the key because she now belongs to two worlds. She is Jax’s daughter, giving her legitimate access to his company, but she is also working for the WSB. If Cassius knows both facts, Joss becoming CEO would be his worst-case scenario. The WSB would no longer need to attack JJE from the outside. It would have one of its own agents sitting at the top.
