General Hospital may be setting up one of the most brutal Jason Morgan rescues in years, and this time, saving Britt Westbourne could cost him far more than he expects. Anna Devane has Britt at gunpoint, Jason is closing in, and the situation appears ready to explode. But the biggest twist may not be Jason saving Britt. It could be what Britt does immediately afterward.
Anna has already crossed a terrifying line. She lured Britt to an isolated location and pulled a gun on her, creating a confrontation where one wrong movement could turn deadly. Meanwhile, Jason has been searching for Britt and putting together enough information to realize something is seriously wrong. He saved Britt because he could not stand there and watch her die. Britt saves Anna because she cannot stand there and watch another human being die. Both choices make sense to the person making them, yet those choices could leave Jason and Britt standing on opposite sides of an enormous emotional divide.

Anna is clearly not behaving like herself. Britt may recognize that something is deeply wrong with her, especially after surviving the confrontation firsthand. If Jason’s bullet nearly costs Anna her life, Britt could understand why he acted while still being horrified by what happened.
That distinction could become the heart of their conflict.
Britt would not necessarily blame Jason for saving her. She could blame him for believing violence was the only possible ending. Jason, meanwhile, could be deeply hurt that Britt is defending Anna after Anna was prepared to hurt her.
Then comes another intriguing spoiler: Jason will clash with a loved one later in the week.
There are several people who could fit that description, but Britt suddenly becomes a fascinating possibility. If the confrontation with Anna leaves Jason and Britt emotionally fractured, their disagreement could continue long after everyone leaves the scene.
And Anna surviving would make the fallout even bigger.
Instead of ending Anna’s story, Jason’s shot could begin the next phase of it. Anna could wake up facing what she nearly did to Britt, while Britt is forced to confront the bizarre reality that she helped save the woman who threatened her.
Jason would be caught in the middle.
He saved Britt’s life, but that does not guarantee he saves their relationship.
The most powerful twist would therefore not be Jason pulling the trigger. It would be Britt kneeling beside Anna seconds later, fighting desperately to keep her alive while Jason watches in disbelief.
Jason may be willing to shoot Anna for Britt.
