General Hospital may have just slipped the biggest clue yet about Trina Robinson’s stalker into the October 5 episode, and it was hiding in plain sight. Everyone noticed Gio Palmieri’s face viciously scratched out on the stalker’s latest display, but the truly disturbing clue may not be what was done to Gio. It may be the object the stalker was holding in the first place.

The postcard promoting Trina and Gio’s upcoming October 13 performance at the Cat’s Eye Lounge suddenly appeared in the stalker’s possession. That matters because viewers had just watched Trina and Gio discussing the same upcoming show. GH deliberately connected those two moments, turning what looked like an ordinary piece of promotional material into a potentially explosive clue.
The question Trina should be asking is simple: Where did the stalker get that postcard?
If that promotional material can eventually be traced back to the people involved with Trina and Gio’s music career, the investigation could suddenly move much closer to Simon Craft. Simon already has legitimate access to information surrounding Trina’s performances, promotional plans and professional schedule. Unlike a random obsessed fan, he would not necessarily need to secretly follow Trina to learn where she will appear next.
That does not prove Simon is the stalker. The postcard could already be publicly available, and GH has not established that it came from a private or limited promotional batch. But that distinction could become the key to the entire mystery. If Trina and Emma discover that this particular card came from material distributed through the music team before the general public received it, the list of suspects would suddenly become much shorter.
And Simon would be standing near the top.
There is another reason the October 5 scene feels so important. The stalker did not simply collect the postcard. Gio’s face was scratched out.
Previously, Kai Taylor was the obvious romantic obstacle. A stalker obsessed with Trina wanting Kai gone makes disturbing but straightforward sense. Gio changes everything because he is not Trina’s boyfriend. If both Kai and Gio become targets simply because they are important men in Trina’s life, then this may not be ordinary romantic jealousy at all.
It could be about control.
That possibility makes Simon especially interesting. Simon has been invested in Trina’s career and in the image being created around her music. He could theoretically accept Gio when Gio serves the professional story being sold to an audience. But what happens if Gio stops being merely Trina’s musical partner and becomes someone she genuinely trusts?
Suddenly Gio represents something Simon cannot manage: influence over Trina that exists outside Simon’s control.
That could explain the apparent contradiction hiding inside the stalker mystery. Publicly, Trina and Gio together may be useful. Privately, their growing bond could become intolerable to someone who believes Trina’s career, relationships and choices should revolve around him.
The postcard could also reopen an older Simon clue that has never been fully resolved. Earlier in the storyline, Simon made a mysterious phone call while Trina was becoming increasingly central to his plans. At the time, there was not enough information to know whether that call meant anything sinister. But if evidence from the October 5 postcard eventually leads back into Simon’s professional circle, that unexplained conversation suddenly deserves another look.
There is even a darker possibility: Simon may not be the person standing behind that stalker board at all.
He could unknowingly—or knowingly—be giving someone else access to Trina.
That would give GH a perfect double reveal. Trina and Emma could trace the postcard back to Simon and believe they have finally identified the stalker, only to discover that Simon’s records, contacts or mysterious phone call lead to another person inside the operation. Simon would still be connected to the clue without necessarily being the final monster behind the obsession.
And October 13 may be just as important as the identity clue.
The stalker now knows exactly where Trina and Gio are scheduled to appear together. The postcard does not merely contain their faces. It effectively tells the stalker where and when to find them.
That makes the Cat’s Eye Lounge performance suddenly feel less like another music event and more like a countdown.
Trina and Emma are expected to dig deeper into the stalking mystery, and the October 5 episode may have quietly handed them the perfect starting point. Instead of chasing suspicious behavior, they can chase something physical: the postcard itself, where it came from, who received it and who knew about the October 13 show.
Everyone was supposed to stare at Gio’s scratched-out face.
But GH may have hidden the real clue underneath it.
The biggest question is no longer why the stalker wants Gio gone. It is how the stalker got Trina and Gio’s postcard—and whether answering that question leads straight back to Simon.
