For weeks, the easiest theory surrounding Hudson and Phoebe has been staring General Hospital fans in the face: Hudson could be Phoebe’s mysterious biological father. His strange connection to Ethan, his growing importance inside the Jacks/JJE orbit, and the unanswered questions surrounding Phoebe’s paternity all seemed to point in that direction. But what if everyone has been looking at the right man and getting the relationship completely wrong? Hudson may not be Phoebe’s father at all. He could be her brother.
That possibility becomes explosive if another wild theory proves true: Jerry Jacks is Phoebe’s biological father. If Jerry secretly fathered Phoebe years ago, there is nothing preventing GH from revealing that Phoebe was not his only hidden child. Hudson could also be Jerry’s son — an older child who grew up outside the Jacks family and has now quietly entered their world.
Suddenly, Hudson’s behavior can be viewed very differently. What if he never came to Port Charles searching for a daughter? What if he came searching for the baby sister his father kept secret? Hudson may have discovered that Jerry had another child without knowing exactly who she was or where she ended up. His investigation could eventually have led him to one name: Ethan.
That would make Ethan far more important to this mystery than he already appears. Ethan has been connected to the questions surrounding Phoebe’s biological father and the suspicious paternity trail around her. If Ethan deliberately manipulated that trail, perhaps his goal was not simply to hide the identity of Phoebe’s father. Maybe he was trying to make Phoebe impossible for someone else to find.
And that someone could be Hudson.
If Hudson knows Jerry had another child, Ethan may possess the final piece of information he needs. That would provide a powerful explanation for why Hudson and Ethan seem destined to collide around this mystery. Hudson does not need Ethan because they share some random secret. He needs Ethan because Ethan may have buried the trail leading directly to Phoebe.
Then there is the JJE problem. Hudson has been pulled surprisingly deep into the world surrounding Jasper Jacks Enterprises despite the mystery surrounding his background. That becomes much easier to explain if Hudson isn’t really an outsider. If Jerry is his biological father, Hudson would be Jax’s nephew — and a secret member of the Jacks family.
But there may be an even bigger bombshell hiding there. What if Jax already knows?
Jax may not have simply hired a mysterious executive and trusted him with access to the family business. He could have discovered that Jerry had a secret son and quietly brought his own nephew inside JJE. If that is true, Hudson’s position may have nothing to do with coincidence. Jax could be keeping Hudson close because he knows exactly whose blood runs through his veins.
That possibility creates another uncomfortable question: How much does Jax know about Phoebe? If he knows Hudson is Jerry’s son, could he also know Jerry fathered another child? Jax might be sitting on a much larger family secret than anyone realizes.
Joss could be caught directly in the middle. If Hudson is Jerry’s son, Hudson and Joss would be cousins. Joss could be dealing with a man she believes is a mysterious JJE insider without realizing that he is actually family. Meanwhile, Phoebe would also belong to that same hidden Jacks branch.
But Hudson being Phoebe’s brother does not automatically make him her protector.
There are two radically different ways this story could unfold. Hudson may be searching for Phoebe because he learned about his baby sister and wants to reach her before Jerry does. Perhaps Hudson knows exactly how dangerous his father can be and believes Phoebe must remain hidden.
The darker possibility is far more chilling: Hudson could be looking for Phoebe on Jerry’s behalf.
If Jerry sent Hudson to follow the trail to his missing daughter, Ethan’s actions suddenly carry enormous stakes. Manipulating DNA evidence would no longer be about hiding an embarrassing affair or protecting a simple family secret. Ethan may have deliberately created a false paternity trail because exposing Phoebe’s biological father could also expose Phoebe to Jerry Jacks.
And that turns this entire mystery upside down.
The biggest question may no longer be, “Who is Phoebe’s father?” It could become: How many secret children does Jerry Jacks actually have?
Hudson could be the first.
Phoebe could be the second.
One may have spent years searching for answers while the other was deliberately hidden from them. Ethan may be standing between the two siblings, while Jax potentially knows far more than he has admitted.
So does Hudson already know Phoebe is his sister? Did Jax bring Hudson into JJE because he knows Hudson is Jerry’s son? And most dangerously of all, does Jerry Jacks know that BOTH of his secret children could now be connected to Port Charles?
Because if Hudson isn’t Phoebe’s father but her brother, this isn’t just another paternity bombshell.
It could be the beginning of an entirely new secret Jacks dynasty.
