TARGET: ELIMINATED.” There is no name attached to the target and no explanation for why the person had to die.
Then Ava notices the date.
The assassination allegedly occurred during a period Drew cannot clearly remember. That detail changes everything because Drew’s history already includes military service, manipulation, stolen memories, and programming. If someone once had the ability to interfere with his mind, could they also have turned Drew into a weapon and then erased what he had done?
Ava would almost certainly confront him. Imagine her placing the classified file in front of Drew and asking one terrifying question: “Who did you kill?” Drew’s reaction could be immediate denial. He doesn’t remember the mission, doesn’t recognize the location, and insists the document must have been fabricated by someone trying to manipulate them both.
But Ava came prepared.

The print reportedly matches Drew. Even worse, there could be DNA evidence tying him directly to the scene. Suddenly, this isn’t just a mysterious document anymore. Drew starts experiencing flashes he cannot explain: a dark corridor, military communications in his ear, an unidentified figure standing across a room, and an order being repeated through a headset. He still cannot see the entire memory, but one detail finally becomes impossible to deny.
He remembers being there.
That doesn’t necessarily mean Drew willingly killed anyone. In fact, the bigger mystery could be whether he was following orders, operating under programming, or being deliberately set up. Someone may have used Drew’s skills while ensuring he would never remember enough to expose the truth.
Then Ava discovers the detail that could turn this mystery into a full-blown Port Charles revenge war.
The unidentified target wasn’t necessarily a random enemy operative. The victim may have had a connection to a family currently living in Port Charles. Ava could uncover a surname, photograph, financial record, or sealed identity that suddenly makes her realize Drew’s forgotten mission has been connected to people around them all along.
And if the victim’s family learns Drew Cain is alive, someone may come looking for revenge.
For Drew, the assassination would be a nightmare from a past he cannot remember. For the victim’s relatives, however, Drew could simply be the man responsible for destroying their family. That creates the possibility of a new enemy arriving in Port Charles with one objective: make Drew pay for something he doesn’t even remember doing.
The revelation would also force Ava to reconsider everything. She started investigating Drew because she wanted insurance against betrayal. Instead, she may discover that the man she wants beside her against Sonny has a buried history as a potentially programmed assassin.
But there could be one final twist.
While examining the forensic report again, Ava notices another partially redacted entry beneath Drew’s name: “SECOND OPERATIVE: [REDACTED].”
