Perhaps it is the identity of someone who handled evidence. Perhaps it is a record showing that something was altered, removed or accessed at a suspicious time. Whatever Brennan possesses, the most explosive version of this story is not Michael receiving a complete confession. It is Brennan handing him a key and allowing Michael to unlock the rest himself.
