Jacinda’s actions against Willow would still be hanging over them, and pregnancy would raise the stakes dramatically. Michael would suddenly have to balance protecting Wiley and Amelia with protecting the woman carrying his unborn child. Any renewed investigation or scandal surrounding Jacinda could threaten the stability Michael just fought so hard to regain.
That gives General Hospital an entirely new conflict instead of an easy romantic ending.
Jacinda leaves Port Charles. She discovers she is pregnant. She keeps Michael’s baby secret while he battles Willow. Michael finally secures his children. Then, just when he believes the war is finished, Jacinda walks back into his life carrying the one secret capable of changing everything.
Her exit wouldn’t be the end of Michael and Jacinda.
