Baby Phoebe’s paternity mystery may be heading toward a far bigger bombshell than anyone in Port Charles expects. Hudson has looked increasingly suspicious, Ethan has already admitted that he lied about Phoebe’s biological father, and nearly every answer surrounding Delilah seems to create another question. But what if everyone has been looking at the wrong man? Jack Brennan may be the person who finally uncovers the truth — and the name buried inside Phoebe’s DNA could be one that the Jacks family hoped never to hear again: Jerry Jacks.

Brennan has one advantage that Ava, Alexis and even Ethan do not. He knows how people hide information. More importantly, he knows how intelligence agencies hide people. Ethan’s behavior surrounding Delilah has never looked like the actions of a man protecting an ordinary family secret. He burned evidence connecting them, allowed people to believe conflicting stories about Phoebe’s father and appeared determined to keep the child away from whoever was really searching for her. That suggests the secret may not simply be embarrassing. It may be dangerous.
That is where Brennan could enter the mystery.
Instead of accepting Hudson as the obvious answer, Brennan could quietly review the paternity evidence Ethan tried so hard to control. A manipulated DNA result would immediately raise another question: where did Ethan get the comparison sample used to create the deception? If that sample came through police or intelligence channels, Brennan could potentially trace it back to its original owner.
And that is where the entire storyline could explode.
The DNA does not belong to Hudson.
It belongs to Jerry Jacks.
Suddenly, Ethan’s desperate actions would make far more sense. Jerry is not merely another wealthy businessman with a complicated past. He has a long and dangerous history with Port Charles and, most importantly, with his own brother Jasper Jacks and Jax’s daughter Josslyn. If Delilah became involved with Jerry and later discovered she was pregnant, hiding Phoebe’s existence could have been an act of survival rather than shame.
Ethan may never have been protecting Phoebe from Hudson.
He may have been protecting her from Jerry.
That possibility also completely changes Hudson’s role. Fans have already questioned whether Hudson being presented as Phoebe’s likely father is simply a fake-out. What if Hudson is not searching for his daughter at all? What if he is searching for Jerry’s daughter?
Hudson could be working for Jerry, trying to locate the child without revealing the identity of the man behind him. That would explain why Hudson seems to move between two storylines that initially appeared unrelated: Phoebe and Jasper Jacks Enterprises. One moment he is connected to the mystery surrounding Ethan and Delilah. The next, he is standing inside Jax’s business world, delivering shocking information to Joss.
That may not be coincidence.
If Jerry is behind Hudson, Phoebe and JJE could actually be pieces of the same plan.
Brennan could be the first person to recognize it.
Imagine Brennan pulling up an old intelligence file and discovering that Jerry’s genetic profile matches the paternal markers in Phoebe’s DNA. He runs the test again, convinced there must be a mistake.
The result does not change.
Jerry Jacks: biological father probability — virtually certain.
That discovery would create another terrifying question.
Does Jax already know?
Jax is supposedly away sailing while Hudson has suddenly become increasingly important inside JJE and Joss has been pushed toward taking responsibility for her father’s company. Yet Joss has not received the kind of direct reassurance from Jax that would normally make such an enormous transition feel safe.
What if Jax discovered Jerry’s connection to Phoebe before he disappeared?
Perhaps Jax learned that his brother secretly fathered another child and began investigating Hudson. If Jerry realized Jax was getting too close, Jax’s sudden absence may have nothing to do with a peaceful trip around the world.
Brennan could therefore uncover two mysteries at exactly the same time.
Phoebe’s father is Jerry.
And Jax may be missing because he discovered it first.
The emotional fallout would be enormous. Joss would discover that the baby at the center of Ethan’s mystery is potentially her first cousin. Ava would realize Ethan’s lies were hiding something far more dangerous than a messy paternity scandal. And Ethan would finally have to explain why he risked everything to keep Jerry’s name away from Phoebe.
But Brennan would face the most dangerous problem of all.
Once he confirms Jerry’s DNA, Jerry would have every reason to silence him.
That could turn a paternity reveal into a full-scale Jacks family thriller. Brennan would no longer simply be investigating who fathered Phoebe. He would be holding the secret connecting Phoebe, Hudson, JJE and Jax’s disappearance.
And if Jerry Jacks really is Phoebe’s father, Ethan’s biggest lie may suddenly look less like betrayal — and much more like the only thing keeping that little girl alive.
