Claire is about to receive a disturbing message connected to Aunt Jordan, and the timing could not be more dangerous. If Jordan left behind one final secret about Claire’s birth, it could force everyone to reopen the DNA test that supposedly proved Claire was Victoria and Cole’s daughter — and expose the possibility that they tested the wrong DNA all along.
That forgotten detail goes all the way back to 2023. Victoria and Cole desperately wanted proof that Claire was really Eve Nicole Howard, the baby daughter they believed had died decades earlier. But Claire did not personally provide the sample that produced the answer. Instead, Cole returned to Jordan’s lake house and collected personal items believed to belong to Claire, including a toothbrush and hairbrush. Those items were then compared with Victoria and Cole’s DNA.
The results appeared to settle everything. And there is another painful consequence. If Claire is not Eve, Victoria may have spent the last three years loving the wrong daughter while her biological child remained missing.
That is what makes Jordan’s new message potentially much more important than another threat from the past. Jordan does not need to return physically to destroy Claire’s world. She only needs to expose one flaw everyone overlooked in 2023.
Cole never collected Claire’s DNA directly.
